Definition and Purpose
Lodging includes hotels, motels, inns, bed and breakfasts, guest houses, vacation rentals, lodges, cabins, guest ranches, and any other establishment that offers overnight accommodation.
Most people who self-evacuate from coastal areas because of a hurricane threat either stay with friends and relatives or find lodging in shelter cities or along evacuation routes.
This section will help evacuees find lodging along evacuation routes and in shelter cities.
For campgrounds and RV parks please see Campgrounds and RV Parks.
